Startup Partners aims to foster connections between HBS-affiliated startups and alumni. The benefits are enjoyed by both entrepreneurs and alumni advisors.
Entrepreneurs receive valuable consulting advice at no monetary cost, and alumni have the opportunity to share their knowledge and gain exposure to new trends and technologies.
The sessions are structured as small group discussions with 3 to 5 alumni assigned to each company. Although the sessions have been designed as a one-time commitment, we’ve found that many advisors and entrepreneurs continue to stay in touch.

Startup Partners has been serving startups since 2016 and continues to evolve based on participant feedback. To turbo charge the impact of the in-person session, the program was relaunched in January 2018 with the addition of a short pre-work assignment plus a call between the Founder and a member of the Startup Partners leadership team.
Now entrepreneurs identify their key challenges and discussion topics for the group ahead of time. In turn, the advisors review the pre-read on their own time. As a result, everyone comes to the table prepared for a more active and productive discussion.
